The BARRIAIRE™ Gold Particulate Hood offers comprehensive particulate coverage that protects the entire head, while incorporating a Sure-Fit™ panel at the crown for optimal comfort and fit. This design enhances safety by ensuring that critical areas are adequately shielded from harmful particulates. The front and back bib section further extends the protective barrier, as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), providing maximum protection in challenging environments.

This product is UL Classified according to the NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting – Current Edition. In addition, it meets the certification requirements for the NFPA 1971, 2018 Edition Option for Particulate Protection – Current Edition, as well as EN13911: 2017 standards for protective gear.

Fabric Description:
A durable quilted composite provides a water-resistant finish on the exterior layer crafted from jersey knit, with a Nomex® Nano Flex particulate barrier integrated between the inner layers of jersey knit. This strategic layering ensures an average particulate efficiency of 96% for particles ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 microns, making it an excellent choice for firefighting professionals. Moreover, PGI BARRIAIRE™ Gold composite fabrics have recently achieved impressive ratings for both Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) at 96.8% and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) at 97.9%, validated by Nelson Labs in the U.S.A.
