UPGRADES

Mobile Wheel System Add-On:

designed to bring unmatched convenience and versatility to your fire service training setup. Built specifically for our Forcible Entry Door Kits, this heavy-duty wheel system allows for easy transport, positioning, and storage, transforming your training experience.

Key Features:

  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with steel brackets and industrial-grade casters to withstand the demands of fire service training environments.

  • Locking Swivel Casters: Offers 360° mobility with secure locking mechanisms to ensure stability during training operations.

  • Quick Installation: Bolts directly to the base of the prop with minimal tools required — get set up and rolling in minutes.

  • Increased Mobility: Move your training door anywhere with ease — indoors, outdoors, or across apparatus bays without the need for a team lift.

  • Compact Storage: Streamline your training space by rolling the unit into tight storage areas when not in use.

Jamb Sleeve w/ Baseball Swing Cutout

A new variation on the standard jamb sleeve, this add-on allows you to train on the baseball swing technique to force doors. The use of normal forcible entry techniques are still possible without any alterations required. The baseball swing cutout uses sections of 2”x6” boards which are replaceable once they are worn out so there is no limit on the reps possible.

Beyond the standard kit we offer a Commercial Door System upgrade option. The Commercial Door System upgrade comes with everything needed to switch from standard residential or outward commercial reps to a more advanced force with door crush and drop bar defeat capabilities. The Commercial System comes with the door crush sleeve, extra set of hinges, drop bar mounts, and additional hardware for assembly. Once assembled, instructors will have the opportunity to demonstrate why setting the adz and getting a crush on the door is imperative to eliminate the possibility of skinning the door and creating more problems when it comes to forcing metal commercial doors. Once the adz is set then the initial defeat of the panic bar or deadbolt is achieved by defeating the force wood that is secured in the slots provided, then to identify that there is a drop bar present. Once drop bar has been identified then the instructor can take the students through multiple ways to defeat it.

The awesome thing about using a metal door is that you can set up the door with several carriage bolts to practice the technique before going through the full run demos of scenarios with the setup. Note to buyer is that this commercial upgrade kit will be used more for a demonstration and then a couple of actual full run forces before the actual metal door will be useless and need to be replaced to be taught again. As you can see in the pictures, you can get a full class of practice on defeating carriage bolts on the door and then be able to get at least six full run forces on the door crush sleeve and drop bar defeat.

Disclaimer - The use of 2”x2” force wood will increase the likelihood of creasing the actual metal door used and possible damage to crush sleeve can occur, so it is recommended to only use 1”x2” force wood. Crush sleeve has cut out areas intended for crushing and non-cut out areas not intended for crushing as they are not reinforced for the pressure exerted during the door crush.

The Newly Redesigned Lock Sleeve

Beyond the Standard Door Kit, the Lock Sleeve is a great upgrade option. The Lock Sleeve itself fits on the outside of either of the 6”x6” posts or stand alone base of your choice. The newly redesigned Lock Sleeve has 2 sets of adjustable arms that hold rebar allowing you to not only train on high and low saw positioning but at various angles as well. There is also a heavy duty ring for attaching chain to which will allow you to practice forcing/sawing your way through your choice of chain and padlocks.

The mindset and training possibilities with the Lock Sleeve are to provide the end user with the capabilities and knowledge of locks, chain, and saw work. From high to low cuts to brute force with weak locks or chains. No matter what at least driving home the size up of what you are faced with when individuals secure the businesses or property and attacking the weakest link (no pun intended).

Window Bar System

In most settings, window bars are more of a deterrent than an actual fortification. While there are places where window bars can be substantially built as an obstacle, for the most part, window bars on occupied residential and multi-family dwellings are designed to intimidate criminals from an attempt. We are not criminals and we should not be intimidated.

Firefighters need to be made aware of the weak points in the window bar systems and train to attack them, the fasteners, lag screws, wedge anchors simple pins are some of the most common and they are easily defeated with conventional methods. The window bar prop provides a tool to develop your conventional methods to defeating window bars. You can use anything to practice cutting methods. An actual frame at height with realistic resistance develops sound skill sets.

As the foundational message of forcible entry is “try before you pry” this prop provides you with the training to “try before you cut”. Then you encounter window bars and coverings it is a good idea to bring a forcible entry saw with you or call for one. In the meantime, or absence of a saw, a quick size up may reveal to you that conventional methods and standard tools can defeat them.

Disclaimer - It is recommended to only use 1”x2” wood with a minimum of 2” of exposed wood between the prop and the mount to ensure appropriate resistance and prevent tool damage.
